Wholehearted

So this book is not quite what I expected. But I think it would be really good for those who wanna learn more. Shut the Bible on God and date. Just don't no, we're to start and they're really into art coloring, drawing any of those things. Because this journal doesn't allow you to write everyday. But on the days like it doesn't seem to ask you any questions. It seems to have sort of drawing or doodling page or stuff like that. I haven't gotten April look into it. But yeah, so it like rotates like every other day. There's questions and then the other days. It's coloring writing drawing something like that. But every day it tells you something about a version. You know, like a normal journal. I do like it.

I contemplated on getting the paperback because I knew I would be using sharpie markers to color with but that was all that was available at the time so that is what I got. I am so VERY happy that I got the paperback because now after I color I have a beautiful space for journaling my thoughts

I really enjoy this devotional. I usualy have a hard time focusing but being able to color helps me focus and makes me want to do it. I order it on August 26 and got it on September 2.

Really love this devotional. The devotions are a quick read with simple principles, just not super deep. Would make a great gift for a new Christian.Every other devotion has a question to answer and a prayer to write down followed by the next day's devotion with a coloring page. The coloring pages are beautiful and a nice break from the writing portions.

My review is of the standard paperback version of this book. As I have purchased and reviewed the Premium version of other of this publishers books, I'm certain that the paper in the spiral-bound version of the book is an improvement over what the paperback.This is an excellent devotional guide which can be accomplished in 30 days (as the writer suggests) or at your own speed if you prefer to save out the time you spend in devotional study.The format of the book alternates between one day of suggested tasks and prayers to the next day of coloring. That amounts to fifteen days each of both formats. Each day is prefaced with cited verse of Scripture and the task/coloring relates back to that verse.Each day has a page of verse and then the author shares her personal thoughts and experiences which relate to the verse. Then, you either follow the tasks or color the design depending on which day it is.I found the course of study to be of immense personal use for me. It seemed as if the entire book had been geared towards the issues I have been facing. The stories that the author tells are heartfelt and the suggested tasks are ones that, while I found a bit emotionally challenging, were ultimate rewarding for me.The coloring was just a small part of this book and the designs are geared to and highlight the Bible verse. Each of the drawings can be accomplished in a day.For coloring purposes, the paper in this book is white, thin, slightly rough and non-perforated. Alcohol and water-based markers bleed through. Gel pens and India ink leave shadows of color on the back of the back. Colored pencils work well (both oil and wax based) but hard lead pencils can leave dents. I use a blotter page under the page I am working on (both coloring and using a pen for writing) to keep ink and dents from marring the pages below.

Just as described and came in a timely manner.

The binding isn’t the strongest, but the devotional messages are uplifting and creative.

Great book and came in perfect shape! There are only fifteen coloring photos and 31 days of devotions. If you are wanting a lot of pictures with your devotions this isn't for you. If you are looking for a good devotional for new Christians this is perfect for you.

I bought this as a Christmas present and it was a huge hit! A great way to meditate on scripture through doing something creative and relaxing!

I gifted this in a 'Secret Santa' gift exchange, as it was on her list. It was so cute and well-constructed, that it's now on my list. There were lots of places to color, but it looked 'meaty' enough for some good devotional content to be inside. She reports that she enjoys it.

This book is awesome, the only thing is I wish there were a little more coloring pages. But other than that it was a great purchase!

Okay so I love this book I just got it and I am planning on using it for a Women's Bible Study group I am starting as our first book and it is just about perfect! As per the headline it is smaller than I expected which I am actually super happy about I thought it was going to be borderline "too big" for what I personally prefer. I have no ruler unfortunately to give any help but the product dimensions are listed above I know.I have two things I think would make it better:1. Perforated tear out's for the coloring pages2. Smaller margins around the devotional part giving more room for larger font sizeThat being said:1. I love that the coloring pages are blank on the back so if I want I can take them out and hang them up as reminders around the house without removing any of the devotional from the book2. The font size isn't small (It is probably equivalent to like a point 18 Times New Roman)I love the simplicity of it. It speaks directly and uses Bible verses in such a way that what they mean is portrayed accurately (The context of each verse is not given but unlike other devotionals I have tried in the past this one doesn't change the contextual meaning to fit the author's point)I love the simplicity of the art as well. It is enough to color that it has a calming elegance to it without being overwhelming for perfectionists like me.The reflections are good. Since I am planning on using this as a group study book I was worried that the reflection journals would be difficult to tailor to sharing in a group dynamic but I think it is going to be wonderful. For example one I am really excited for asks you to set a one minute timer and write out every anxiety you have that you can think of in that one minute, I am excited that with it written this way as long as you are willing to put in the 1 minute you have to write down more than just surface level things but also because room is left for all depths of answers you can choose what to talk about.All in all I am so excited to share this book with the other Women in the study and get to go through this with them!

I LOVED this sweet devotional/coloring book. I love that it’s coloring every other day and reflection on the noncoloring days. This is a fabulous devotional!

Great book I bought for a friend as a birthday gift, so far she loves it and says it's definitely worth the purchase!

Loved this, I bought them for my small group of teenage girls and they loved it! Good devotional and very inviting! Full of the word of God which is what we need!

I gave this as a gift and it was well received. I flipped through it and if you want a coloring book, I go with something else but this is a good book for journaling and devotional with some coloring here and there.
