The Quilted Home Handbook

First if all, the textured cover is perfect for a quilting book. Inside, I love the ‘handwritten’ notes and it has the details of a textbook but photos and images like a picture book. Lots of suggested colorways and techniques along with some fun and unique patterns to boot! Excited to dive deep into this one. Definitely a great resource and inspirational text.

This is a hardcover thick book! Over 250 pages of quilty projects ready for you to tackle, or just to look at (I won't judge). Part of me wishes the pages were glossy but I know that's not in fashion right now.

This is Wendy’s second book and I love it just as much (if not more) than the first! The patterns are unique. The quality of the book is amazing. I love how she’s added some of her own sketches. But really, above all, we want good quality designs that we’ll make. This book has that! And it’s so pretty it could be a coffee table book. Treat yourself!

I have purchased quilting books in the past, but this one is so detailed, so easy to read and follow! I have quilted for over 40 years and this designer Wendy Chow hits it out of the park! It’s Fresh, Modern and clear instructions illustrated with beautiful photos.

This book has very clear instruction on how to improve your quilting skills. It will be an important reference book in my sewing room.

I received this book as a gift and I was very disappointed. I had great hopes for it but it did not meet expectations. The ideas were not original. Nothing in the book made me feel inspired. It is gathering dust on my shelf. Maybe I will give it to Goodwill.

I love this book. I was hesitant at first, but, I’m so happy I ordered it. Detailed instructions and plenty of pictures. A very good buy and an essential book for your quilting library.

Great ideas and patterns for decorating around the home. A great quilt resource for those who like to make home decor & quilts. Projects are well developed & easy to make. Love the bright pictures & detail.

Good book with patterns for many quilts and helps dream up new projects!

If you enjoy quilting but don’t like anything remotely traditional, this might be your book. I found the designs uninspired and somewhat boring. I could get the same vibe without quilting. I did return this book, but mostly based on personal taste.

This is a well written book and full of beautiful quilted items and clear guidance for those who may be beginners. I only wish the colors were more bold in the diagrams as it is hard to see some of them. But I have already completed one quilt from here and so pleased with the instructions.

This book felt like I was sitting down with a friend to chat about quilting. It is a book for all levels of quilters and will be well-used as a great resource for years to come. It is user friendly and very pleasing to the eye! Highly recommend!

The book is filled with beautiful and inspiring photos and projects. The author has provided the reader a few color options for the reader to recreate or to jump start their new project. She as grouped them by three color stories which i think is so unique and different, and it looks more cohesive in comparison to her first book Urban Quilting (which I also highly recommend). The projects in the book are so modern and fresh, and changes the perception of quilting is for grandmas.

There wasn’t any information that I would ever use in this book. Most pictures were two colored instead of photos, not making anything interesting. Returned it.

I bought Wendy's first book and was excited when she announced this one. Cannot wait to start sewing my first project and have already pulled fabric for the pattern. Her directions are well written, clear, and easy to follow!

With all the women of my family being quilters I have a huge amount of information at my fingertips just from them alone and generally don’t buy Quilty books on that principle. BUT have bought both of Wendy’s quilt books because I love them so much. The books are incredibly accessible and in a world where there is so very rarely a truly new quilt pattern she manages to create more and more beautiful ones to add to one’s collection.Love love love will buy any more quilt books in the future

This is a gorgeous book! I love that it includes quilts but other projects too. Instructions are well laid out and so organized. I love that information about choosing color palettes is also included. Such a fabulous book!

I’m so thrilled with this book! It’s great for beginner or more advanced quilters and I love the suggested color options! Fresh and modern. Really helpful illustrations and instructions. My very first quilt was a pattern from Wendy’s first book Urban Quilting and I’m so excited to try out a few projects from this new book!

This book is gorgeous! I feel so inspired reading through it. The photography is stunning and all the projects are well written. Not the mention the hardcover, matte finish of the book just feels luxurious to hold and flip through. This is definitely a book you want to show off on your book shelf!

The Quilted Home Handbook brings the inspiration of @the.weekendquilter 's beautiful instagram feed of projects to life. It provides comprehensive and clear instructions for each project and a variety of colorways. The book provides content to capture both beginner and experienced quilters. I appreciate her aesthetic of fun modern quilts playing with solid fabrics in interesting combinations. A wonderful companion for Wendy's other book Urban Quilting.

First, this book is beautiful - from the lovely photographs to the layout, I’m smitten. The amount of Beginners projects are many and each more creatively amazing than the next. Each project can appeal to any aesthetic. The instructions are clear and the descriptions make me want to dig right in and feast on new techniques. As a beginner to the world of quilting, this book simply got me excited to get to work on my first project!

Wendy hit it out of the park with this book! It is visually stunning with all of the beautiful projects. I love how she created different color palettes for those quilters who have a hard time visualizing a project in their own style/color. The variety of projects are also fabulous. She has included those that can be made in a day, for those who want a quick finish, as well as larger and more challenging projects for the seasoned quilter. This book is a keeper and a must-have for all modern quilters. And if you’re not a quilter, it makes a beautiful coffee table book that just might inspire you to become one.
