Modern Calligraphy Set for Beginners

This item itself is exactly what I wanted for my 10 year old niece who is learning the art of calligraphy. The only reason I reduced a star is because it came with a giant UPC sticker (that included a price on it) right on the front of the clear viewing window. It took a razor blade and Goo Gone to remove it. I just felt like that diminished the quality without my putting in a bit of work to get rid of it. However, I’m sure she’s gonna love it!!

My package arrived damaged. I was really bummed.. especially paying $40 for this. Luckily the book itself wasn’t damaged.I like the variety of writing utensils! I wish in the book it specified which on to start with for the practice. I also think some more practice spaces in the actual book would have been nice. Instead I had to find trace paper to get more practice space in. Overall, I like the product!

Amazing gift to myself! I’ve felt like I’ve needed a creative outlet for myself for awhile and the book itself is amazing. Very detailed and well put together. I can’t wait to start.

I’ve been eyeing this book for a long time. I am new to lettering and could not be more excited to find the kit. This book is amazing. I love that background information and she does a great job explaining all her tips and tricks. It’s very pleasing to the eye as well! Also a huge plus... all the different pens that come with it. So helpful!

I'm a complete beginner at 'fancy writing' so I am trying to improve my style. The set looks really good and it is very helpful for someone like me to get started on the basics. The pens included are very usable and comfortable, I had no trouble with the ink flow when I was writing. It's a great little book that I will probably buy as a second one as a gift for my young niece.

The kit is so complete and provide guidance. My kid loves it. Its also very aesthetic.

I haven't opened the product because it is a Christmas present for my daughter. But it looks adorable and it has everything she needs to get started learning calligraphy.

At this busy time I haven’t had time to use it but it’s one of my goals for the new year.

It's quite basic. I know it's for beginners, but it was far more elementary than I expected. I'll use it though, but I'm not happy with the purchase.

Thought this book would have more information on how to start using real calligraphy pens and nibs, and wish it was all around organized better.The artist is very talented and does have a few good suggestions. Just wasn’t much guidance on how to start. I think this is more geared for someone who loves those kitchen signs that say “family” or like “time for wine”.I was looking more for a beginners books and how to learn classic calligraphy first, walk you through the nibs, pens and ink bottles; taught the best way to hold the pen, angle it, etc. Overall, not what I was looking for personally, but this book is definitely on trend for the people who love to hang those “it’s 5 o’clock somewhere”’ and that types or lettering.

Absolutely loving my kit! Definitely a learning process, but practice makes perfect! Also, did what the book said and got extra paper! Very worth it!
