The Happy Homebody

I love it! I take it with me to read while I wait for my girls at the pick up line. My 8 yr old daughter took it and was reading it as well. She wanted the goodies/ nail stickers that come in the book! So if you're thinking about it, get it!

The paper quality, the illustrations and hand lettered pages, the stickers and other goodies are all awesome, but even more so is the message that is ok, even good, to be home and not always for fear of missing out. I really appreciate this message and am going to try to appreciate being home and time alone more.

This is a fun, cute book for anybody who likes staying home (or just anybody!). It has super cute doodles as well as some parts that are inspirational. My favorite part is the activities—there’s spots for coloring, drawing, lettering, journal prompts, music, etc. Plus it looks super cute on the coffee table and isn’t linear so you can just pick it up and flip to a page and enjoy.

OG review i forgot to fully post-I haven't even gotten it in my hands quite yet (will update once I do!) But I already am BURSTING with excitement for this book! I have seen it all over social media and it is CALLING to my introverted self! My Barnes and Noble was out of stock so I had to order from Amazon. Can't wait to feel the pages and admire the art and quality of it all!Update because I have it-It is GLORIOUS! Great quality, beautiful illustrations, many fun freebies! It's interactive, easy to read/enjoy, and a perfect calming activity for an introvert who needs a little recharging time. It's definitely going to be holiday and birthday gifts for some of my other introverted friends!-my copy did arrive a little smudged/dirty? on the front raised white bits. Idk if it's supposed to be like that or not, I love it regardless though.-

So, to be honest, this is my first time ever owning any type of book like this. This is quite the unique book. In a world filled with "self help books" designed to motivate you towards performing your best and working harder this was a definite necessary refresher. Some would classify this as a self help book with activities and exercises included but this one is different. This book actually goes in somewhat of an opposite direction, but a direction that is meant to rejuvenate and clear your mind, improving its functionality and clarity, in order to give you the ability to perform in a more rested state of mind.This book is all about art of self expression and creativity. Instead of pushing you to "do do do" and "work work work", it gives you permission to unwind, rest, and find comfort in your home surroundings, away from the constant presence of other people. This, in my opinion, is the introvert's dream book, which is why it struck such a chord with me.What I like about this book is that it gives ideas on how to make your personal space more comfortable, attractive and suited to you and your style. It brings to light just how much of an influence your home surroundings can have on your overall mood and how designing this space can have drastic improvements to your mood.As I mentioned in my review title, this book comes with goodies! This was such a fun addition. My favorite, as you can see in my pictures, is the adorable little sun catcher it comes with. It looks beautiful on my window and my kids and I have been enjoying seeing a little bit of magic when the sun shines through. I also ADORE the cute little Boho style of coaster this comes with. It goes with my decor perfectly and the colors are natural and neutral, meaning it should work well with any decor theme in your house. I thought it was a beautiful touch.All in all, I am pleased with this book and would highly recommend it. (This would make an excellent gift idea.)

I have been following Liz on Instagram ever since her collaboration with A&O. I have ALWAYS been drawn to her illustrations, art work and her nail work because of the colour pallettes she uses. They always give me a cozy feeling and make me happy. This is exactly how this book feels to me. It's the cutest book with the perfect illustrations. I couldn't wait for it to arrive since I pre-ordered it almost two months ago. You should definitely get this book if you like anything cozy and warm and cute!

Elizabeth Gray has created this fantastic grown-up version of a coloring and activity book for introverts (and extroverts too). This book is a lovely reminder to ourselves to take care of our minds, bodies, and souls. Gorgeous lettering pages with inspirational quotes, activities to do when you want to stay home and veg, and a well-rounded book of fun things.I can see myself opening up this book when I'm having a rough day just to hear some soothing words and remind myself to have grace with me. We could all use this book as having a cheerleader in our corner and Gray does this in a quiet unassuming way with creativity and warmth.

I follow Elizabeth on Instagram and love what she does. When I saw the book I waffled trying to decide if I wanted to buy it as I have a lot of notebooks and books in general. It's not your typical book you think of. It's full of her artwork, tips for making your home your happy place and interactive. It's almost a hybrid journal to doodle in and ideas for taking care of yourself and your space. As a mom of a little one, I love that I can pick it up here and there for 5 to 10 minutes or spend longer using it. You won't regret buying it. I really hope a part 2 is in the works!

Thegraytergood aka Elizabeth Gray has written the most beautiful books for introverts. I haven’t been so excited to receive a book in a long time!The cover with its gold foil is beautiful to keep out on a coffee table or a bookshelf feature. The book itself is a mix of self reflection moments, activities for adults (whether you’re introverted or trying to find something to do on a rainy day), and inspiration. You see Elizabeth’s beautiful lettering throughout and read her calming and encouraging perspective. You see all of her heart.The book is great if you’re an introvert or homebody but it’s equally great if you love creativity and want to make the most of even the quiet, homey moments in your life.

And yes I've already used some of the nail stickers.Elizabeth Gray absolutely nailed this book! I'm going to be using some of the prompts in here as guides in my self care journal, and this was the perfect piece of inspiration to get me working on that again. To any of my introverts out there: this book is for you! And it won't tell you to be more extroverted I promise 💞Having impulsively bought and breezed through this book already, I can already tell that some of the wisdom in here is going to help me heal and prevent burnout as an ADHD student who struggle to know how to rest.

It's such a light book to read and there are some activities that you can do in the book, which are fun.I love this book and it will always be at my coffee table <3

What a creative book that encourages rest, creativity, and staying home! An introvert's dream! Elizabeth is such a great Instagram follow and is known for her beautiful lettering and beautiful videos. What a talent! I love the way the book is laid out and how each page has a nugget of encouragement to take time to stop and smell the roses. Life moves fast in 2022 and what a great book to help you to slow down and enjoy life!This makes a great coffee table book. great book to leave in a guest room, or for a gift! I love this book!

I really like this book. I just got it yesterday, so I haven’t gotten too far into it yet. But from what I have seen, It is relaxing and has some great tips! I highly recommend it!

Elizabeth wrote such a fun, inspiring, interactive, and beautiful book, I cannot stop looking at it!! I have learned SO much from Elizabeth over the years from Instagram, so as soon as this book was announced, I KNEW I had to have it. But let me tell you, my expectations were completely blown when I saw the absolute PERFECTION. Flipping through every page for the first time is like a trip through Elizabeth’s home, her creative, cozy home.Run to get yourself a copy!Actually, don’t run. You’re on your phone. Lots of different subjects and beautiful drawings

This book is gorgeous! It has fun journaling prompts and lovely art on every page. Definitely recommend for people who want to try journaling/people who get stuck on what to journal about. Book has a pocket in the back with goodies as well!

This book is designed and written so beautifully. Liz did such an incredible job encapsulating what it feels like to be a home body. The book is cozy to read and gorgeous to have on your coffee table. The extra goodies are an added bonus and honestly are a good enough reason to buy the book on their own. So proud of Liz (I’ve been following her for years!) and highly, highly recommend this book for your introvert friends or someone who needs a gorgeously illustrated book in their lives.

I've been following Liz on Instagram for a while now, admiring her artwork and getting inspired by her. She's not only incredibly talented but also super kind. When she announced her book I knew I had to buy it. And I'm so glad I did.It's beautifully illustrated and it comes with recipes, stories, tips, and even goodies ✨

This book is the only one if it's kind that I've ever come across. It's part pen pal letter, part activity, and part coffee table book all in one. I'm still mind-blown and drooling over the illustrations and color story woven throughout, it's just so calming and cozy!The coolest part is the author's voice, it's like you're sitting across the table from her and coming up with fun, mindful ways to spend those rare moments of peace in your otherwise busy day. Not to mention the sweet little gifts waiting for you to find them in the back of the book!If y'all were waiting for a love letter to all of your home loving, introverted pals look no further:)

Being an introvert this makes me feel so seen in such an extroverted dominant world. Loved the little gifts in the back of the book and the fun little activities within it.

This is much more than an ordinary book, it is a collection of stories, art, and thoughtful questions as you slow down and contemplate life & the magical moments that permeate our every day. I was delighted to see her art is not limited to the front cover, but her doodles & illustrations spring to life on almost every page! This hardcover is quite nice and the gold foil on the cover catches the light, making it a book that will look excellent on display in the home. Whether sitting down to read and reflect, or simply skimming through a few pages to admire the art inside, this book has been a delight to enjoy.
