The Daily Play

This is a great work book for someone who wants to dive a little deeper into their creativity and use different mediums. I really like that the book has calligraphy & water color prompts in it.

I love this book! Even though I am a professional artist, this book is great for down time and watching tv while I create. The pages are great quality, not thin. It is great for both advanced and beginning artists. Brittany DeSantis is a wonderful artist and lovely person.

Fantastic art journal. I love the daily prompts that you do right along in the book. You don't need any extra journals. There is a 30 day start to get you prepared for what you will be doing in the rest of the journal. It is very thoughtfully laid out and done.This is great for beginners or for more advanced artists for a daily warm-up and practice.The paper is thick and feels lovely.I look forward to my time in this journal everyday! I don't like to journal and I have made this a daily practice. I'm so glad I got it.It is beautiful and fun and has variety in the prompts. The exercises are relaxing and also keep me engaged. I only have good things to say about it!

I am an artist who, like other artists, gets stuck sometimes and fail to make it to the table to make art. This book is like a gentle push. The focus is on play, not work. I begin an exercise and it is natural to continue to work on my own things because I am already at the table. The book has exercises that are easy to adapt and extend. I have purchased numerous books on art and this one has really motivated me to make art a daily practice. It would be suitable for a beginning artist or for more experienced artists who need a little prod to get going again. I highly recommend it.

Absolutely amazing. I put this book in my "creative play" bag and pull it out when I want to calm myself or when I feel like having some me time. I love the prompts!

I'm really enjoying this journal. It's really well thought out and doesn't take a lot of time to do the activities (I like to do them early in the morning) and the quality of the text, paper etc. is excellent. I've done more art in the last 2 weeks and it has ignited my spark.

LOVE! LOVE! LOVE! This book is amazing. A quick creative exercise every day for 365 days! It’s even better than expected.Pages are thick enough that you can use watercolors and markers in the book without puckering. Brittany has done a phenomenal job putting this book together- and has videos for the first 30 days that correspond with the first 30 days in your book. Get this book. You won’t regret it!

I’m so excited I purchased The Daily Play! I haven’t used it yet but I’ve flipped through a lot of the book and it’s amazing!I’m 53 years old, and I’m not an artist but I have always wanted to be one. It’s been years since I’ve focused on hobbies I enjoy. Working a full time job, raising kids, and adulting keeps one busy. And often times, you end up running out of time for yourself.I think using this book is going to help me feel the sense of wonder like you have when you’re a child.I think it’s going to be a wonderful “me time” activity and a form of self care. I’ve already considered buying more for my mom, sisters, daughters, and nieces as Christmas gifts. I think it will provide daily therapeutic moments of peace and engage the creativity and imagination inside of us!I’m also glad the book contains a list of suggested art supplies. They aren’t mandatory; you can use what you already have at home. But I like that the list is provided so, if I purchase more books as gifts, I can include supplies to ensure the recipient has everything to begin their artistic self care journey.

I am following along with the author for the first 30 days. Easy prompts just take a few minutes but things you could easily do over and over again. I like the breathing and nervous system regulation that goes along with this. The book is very nice, I like the colors, the paper feels heavy. I haven't had any bleed through. I'm looking forward to doing more of the prompts. I've been needing this daily play. Thank you!!

This is a high-quality guided art experience that offers a practical approach to re-engaging your creativity while picking up some new skills and trying new mediums and tools. I'm excited to go through it! I'm ordering the pieces I'm missing from the recommended supplies, and I appreciate that I don't have to wait to start because the first activities use just basic pen/pencil. Well done!
