It is FINALLY spring here in Oregon, and we just basked in high seventies and sunny for two entire days in a row. (Side note: Now is probably a good time to mention a tiny detail: we moved our headquarters—and most of our staff—to Bend, Oregon over the last several months.) We are loving everything about our new home in this beautiful, friendly mountain town in the heart of Oregon.
It was a very long, hard winter here, even by local standards. Spring has been slow to arrive. Yesterday actually felt hot—dare we say uncomfortably so—and we therefore insisted on working outside in the morning, lunching outside at noon, and even taking a long-ish break in the afternoon to take our office dogs (and office kids!) to the park for an hour.
This taste of warm weather also has us ready to get our yards spruced up, and itching to get our hands in the dirt. Even the brief window of sunshine (for we’re already back to fifties and rain) has weeds demanding to be pulled and veggies begging to be planted! We can practically smell the barbecue being fired up, and envision friends gathered in the backyard long into the summer nights. For now, though, we’re still keeping our rain boots close by—something tells us we’ll still be wearing them more than we’d like for at least a little while longer!
